International College of Professional Celebrants

Deepest condolences to you at this,
the saddest of times.

The combination of the pain of recent grief and the organisation that a funeral suddenly demands can be overwhelming. With warmth and professionalism, Alex can help to take some of the burden away by being by at your side from start to close.

Together we can compose a beautiful and bespoke service, capturing the unique essence of your departed’s life journey.

Listening to the stories and memories that you share, these will be weaved in amongst carefully chosen music, readings and tributes. Eulogies can be a especially emotional to write but Alex will be there all the way to lend her expertise and guidance.

Alex is an accomplished public speaker who will conduct your ceremony with empathy and understanding. Being delivered by a trained and experienced celebrant ensures that the service will be a both deeply personal and dignified send-off for your loved one.

You are free to choose the celebrant of your choice (it isn’t the decision of the funeral directors).

It’s important to take your time and choose one whom you trust and feel will be sympathetic and dedicated to you and your family personally.

Alex will help you honour the life of your loved one in a way that brings comfort, healing, and beautiful memories.

“We lost both our parents with in 6 weeks, so having Alex by our side through this time was such a comfort. She gently guided us through the difficult process of composing each of the funerals and her beautifully written script perfectly captured the essence of their characters and lives. She delivered the service beautifully and we are so glad we chose her.”

“Tell their Story,
Honour their Life.“

Funerals are now often called ‘A Celebration of Life’, reflecting the wishes of the relatives to celebrate as well as mourn the unique life lived by the deceased.

Recently more people are reaching for an alternative to a church service -  nowadays there are multiple options for you to choose from.

As your bespoke celebrant, Alex can conduct any type of service you wish. You can choose for it to be a completely non-religious ceremony or have some chosen elements included. Many choose to add spiritual parts to the ceremony that honour the beliefs of their dearly departed.

You may wish to hold the main service at a Crematorium of your choice, inviting relatives and friends to the chapel to join in a ceremony filled with readings, music and a heartfelt eulogy. The service can be composed any way you wish, with Alex sharing her suggestions and experience along the way. She can also conduct ceremonies by the graveside and at scattering of ashes ceremonies, leading the mourners with words of comfort at the final resting place.

Some wish to hold an intimate crematorium or burial ceremony for close relatives only, following on with a larger Celebration of Life

This allows for a more relaxed approach, with no time constraints and a chance for more mourners to be involved.

There are no rules for where this can be held –perhaps it will be at home in the garden or a place of special significance to the departed. There are many ways to mark the occasion - planting a memorial tree ensures legacies will be remembered by generations to come.

Alex will deliver a truly bespoke service for you, as unique as the life you are celebrating

“When our brother died suddenly we were in complete shock, it was so unexpected. He was a truly unique individual so his funeral deserved to be bespokely written for him and not just a generic script.  Alex was the perfect celebrant for us, she wrote a service that he would have truly loved. Olli’ s service was packed with mourners and many of his fans watched a live stream but this didn’t worry her , she was both professional and warm the whole way through.”

“I was blessed to have engaged Alex for my son’s celebration of life ceremony after he died in tragic circumstances. It was an unusual brief for her as it was a tree planting ceremony on a hill top in the snow but Alex completely embraced this challenge. She was so helpful in the planning of our gathering, calmly suggesting different ways it could run and helping me compose the eulogy that I found so hard to write. Her experience and empathy helped me immensely during such a traumatic time.”
