Naming Ceremonies
“For all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you.”
A naming ceremony is a celebration to welcome your beautiful child into your family. It’s the perfect opportunity to give them a moving and treasured introduction into you lives.
It’s the perfect occasion for those who like the concept of a christening but without the constraint of a church setting and religious theme.
They can be held anywhere you wish, perhaps a reception room in your favourite hotel or under a canopy in a floral garden.
As in traditional christenings, god parents ( or “ guide parents”) play an important role in the ceremony, making public their promises to guide and support your child for the rest of their lives.
Grandparents too are encouraged to join in so that the whole family is included in this special day.
There is no age limit for holding a gathering of family and friends to witness your child’s naming ceremony, not only babies but teenagers too deserve to have their own special day
Your bespoke celebrant will write and deliver a truly memorable service, combining all the different elements you’d like, a service that reflects your aspirations and dreams for your child.
“Alex’s ceremony was a wonderful way to welcome our daughter Scarlett into the world. We had exactly the service we wanted, non religious and full of warmth and laughter. It was a day for the whole family to remember.”
Family Blending Ceremonies
“Every family is beautiful but ours is my favourite “
Family blending ceremonies are a unique and loving way to join families together to mark their new journey into the future.
As life’s journey progresses, two families can find themselves combined into one – a union that deserves to be proudly recognised and celebrated.
With a completely bespoke, specially-tailored ceremony, you can fully involve all members of your expanded family in the experience. Both sets of children can enjoy being the centre of attention as they celebrate the merging of their families - inviting relatives and friends along too all adds to the atmosphere of joy.
There are no rules for the blending of your family, it’s completely your choice of venue and style of service. Alex makes the children her priority, making the ceremony interactive and fun. Some families choose sand ceremonies as a visual way of symbolising the merging of families, some choose to plant a tree and watch it grow.
However you wish your special day to be, Alex offers to share with you her expertise and create a wonderfully special day that your new family will remember always
“ Our two families moving in together was an important step for us and one we wanted to celebrate . The children loved the sand ceremony Alex did with them - it was fun and made them feel very special“
